Ramsgate has given us some of our most interesting work. It's a town with a Royal Harbour, sweeping Regency crescents, a working industrial estate and a lot of ordinary family housing in between — and we've been on roofs across all of it.
In the last couple of years alone we've done a major refurbishment at the Flambeau factory, put Dame Janet School back together after lead thieves stripped it, and completed full domestic re-roofs. Commercial or residential, listed or 1960s, the approach doesn't change.
We're based in Broadstairs, a few minutes up the road, so Ramsgate is very much home turf.

The Georgian and Regency parts of Ramsgate — Nelson Crescent, Wellington Crescent, Spencer Square and the streets around them — are beautiful and genuinely demanding to work on. Parapet walls, hidden box gutters, natural slate, mansards and a great deal of lead. Much of it sits in conservation areas, which means what goes back on has to match what came off. You can't quietly swap slate for concrete tile and hope nobody notices.
