A Little Shed Roof Fibreglass Refresh
Colin Frampton • April 4, 2025

At Frampton Roofing, we take pride in delivering long-lasting roofing solutions for projects big and small. This recent shed roof is a perfect example of how a simple upgrade can make a big difference.

What Was Needed

Our customer had an existing felt roof that had seen better days. With signs of wear and tear, it was time for a more robust and permanent solution. We recommended a full fibreglass roof system for its durability, sleek finish, and low maintenance needs.

What We Did

  1. Removed the Old Felt Roof
  2. We carefully stripped away the worn felt to start with a clean surface.
  3. Installed 8x2 OSB Boards
  4. The entire roof was reboarded with strong, interlocking OSB (oriented strand board), providing a solid and reliable base.
  5. Fixed Preformed Edge Trims
  6. We added smart preformed trims around the perimeter to finish the edges neatly and help water run off efficiently.
  7. Applied Lloyd’s Approved Resin and Topcoat
  8. To complete the job, we applied Lloyd’s approved fibreglass resin and a UV-resistant topcoat, creating a watertight, long-lasting finish that looks fantastic and performs even better.

A Fibreglass Finish for a Weatherproof Upgrade

The photos show that the new shed roof looks good and is designed to last through any weather for many years. This upgrade is an easy way to improve how your outdoor space works and looks. You won't have to worry about issues like torn felt, leaks, or ugly moss that could damage your shed. With this new roof, you can relax knowing your shed is safe and looking great for a long time.

The team at Frampton Roofing recently completed a large-scale industrial roofing project at the Flambeau warehouse and manufacturing facility in Ramsgate . This enormous roof had seen years of wear and was in urgent need of attention to prevent further deterioration. From moss-choked valleys to cracked sheeting and overgrown drainage systems, this was a serious clean-up and repair mission—executed while keeping the busy site operational throughout. The Challenge Flambeau’s factory spans a huge footprint, with long, pitched valley roofs running the length of the site. Over time, the central valleys had become overrun with: 🟢 Thick moss and vegetation growth 💧 Standing water due to blocked or sagging drainage ⚠️ Cracked and damaged sheeting along the valley lines 🌧️ Increased risk of leaks and pooling during heavy rain The goal was to restore effective drainage, clear debris, and repair visible damage—ensuring the roof would perform safely over the winter months and beyond.
